A Playlist For Liking Someone That Maybe You Shouldn’t

I like you playlist

The Valentine season has officially passed us. All of the single people out there (including myself) can collective let out a sigh of relief. I spent February 14 receiving the same Grumpy Cat Valentine over and over from like everyone I know, working for about twelve hours, and then going over to a friend’s house because I like to do Photoshop things with my hoodrat friends (I totes magotes got that phrase wrong, didn’t I?). The following day when the influx of “Oooh what did you do for Valentines Day?!” poured in that’s is basically what I told people I did and, in return, I received a lot of looks of pity and “Oh, that’s it? Like by yourself?”. I had a perfectly lovely day, sorry it lacked a guy or whatever. Clearly I’ve strayed from my original purpose here. My point is that just because I’m not in a relationship doesn’t mean that I’m totally against them and just because I don’t currently have someone to make cute playlist for doesn’t mean that there aren’t songs that make me think of that certain someone (no, not a fictional character or mental checklist of things I like in a guy. He’s a real person). Maybe you’ve got some feelings you just can’t shake and you want to let them out but you fear now isn’t the right time or how that person might react? Do you, like, totally really like someone? Does that someone happen to be a someone you used to openly like in a mutual kind of way? If you wish you could get someone back but don’t want to put yourself through the emotional roller coster of actually trying to get them back because even if you were to put in the effort there’s a good chance they might just ruthlessly reject you then hit play because this playlist is for you.

Tea Time: Mugs For Home and On the Go

TEA cups

I sort of collect mugs. Like I can’t walk by Target’s seasonal section without picking one out or go on vacation to basically anywhere without bringing one home. It’s gotten to the point where I need practically an entire cupboard just to store my mugs in (impractical use of kitchen space for the win!). The other night I was exploring the internet looking for something cute to add to my collection when I thought, “Hey, why not share my mug love with the world?” so I ended up making this list. Whether you’re sipping your tea (or coffee or what have you) at home or on the go at least one of these mugs will be perfect for you. For a complete list of where to find them  Continue reading

LOL of the Day: Cat Friend vs. Dog Friend

I’ve been sitting on my couch drinking tea and watching endless episodes of Law and Order: SVU for like four hours now. Don’t judge me, we all need at least half a lazy day now and then. Relaxing definitely made me feel refreshed but all of the hard-hitting drama was starting to make everything feel a little like a giant black abyss so I turned to the interwebs for a quick pick me up and came across this gem. This is the most accurately hilarious depiction of what it’s like to have a cat and a dog living in the same home I’ve ever seen. Enjoy…

Totally Obsessed… Paper App

paper

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Totally Obsessed post. This is really the best way I can explain why. Usually when I find something that I’m really into I’ll be totally over it by the time I sit down at my computer. Well, Paper has broken this goldfish attention span-like dilemma of mine. It’s basically a magic notepad for your iPad. It’s like a little digital Moleskin sprinkled with bits of wonder and amazement. For more info on Paper and why is makes me feel like creative princess  Continue reading
